Always blown away by the food @marmo.restaurant #bristol which is so simple and fresh but with a really skilful balance of ingredients and flavours. This was seabass crudo with celery and bottarga - a dish that would convert any celery hater.
Good to see the restaurant rammed on a Tuesday night too.

Great line-up of rosés at my @dartmouthfoodfestival tasting today ranging from whisper pink to near crimson and from still to bubbly.
From L to R classically elegant @maiaprovence, @chateaubauduc’s deliciously fruity Bordeaux rosé @chefrickstein edition @dunleavyvineyards delicate pretty English rosé (made from Regent and Seyval Blanc - check out their crowdfunder), @bodegasmuga more substantial savoury rosado, @domainemaby’s deep, deep pink Tavel, @camillodonati’s gently fizzy cherryish pet nat and @boschendalwines immensely drinkable MCC rosé which has one of the the prettiest bottles out there (from festival wine theatre organisers @michaelsuttonscellar).
Still an overall preference for the paler styles but good to get across that there are more sources of rosé than just Provence - and that you can drink it year round. (Reckon Tavel would be great with the Boxing Day leftovers and the Muga with paella and tapas!)

Three rather blurry low light pix from a brilliant meal at @andriadartmouth last night. Scallops with artichoke and guanciale, crab with apple, ginger and lemon sorrel and hake with smoked butter sauce, caviar and samphire. Great ingredients, really clever imaginative cooking and singing flavours. @susyatkins and I had been told it was good but we were blown away.
