Traditionally it’s been difficult to find a pairing for noodle dishes, especially soup noodles which have the triple drawback of being hot, sour and wet. But the other night at Alan Yau’s new restaurant Cha Cha Moon (of which more to follow when I do my round-up of new London openings) I had a delicious non-alcoholic cocktail which really hit the spot.

Thanks @marinagpoloughlin for the tip-off that the wonderful @tomnd.c.a.l.e (ex Great Queen Street) is back on the food scene masterminding the menu @cafemission.e1. It’s a largely plant-based menu including this addictive Mysore style set dosa with pumpkin sabji and coconut chutney with the occasional fish and meat dish thrown in like this @chalk_stream trout and prawn cocktail . Fresh, healthy, well-priced food served in a lovely light airy room - or the terrace outside if it’s fine which let’s face it it rarely is at the mo.
