@ellypear @essexeating, @ppopss and I had afternoon tea yesterday rather than going out (cos still 5 days to payday) and as you can see it was an absolute feast.

Elly was road-testing a Mother’s Day cake with a lemon, mascarpone and white chocolate frosting (see her recent reel) and Dan made a pitch perfect leek tart.

The less said about my scones the better. Followed a new recipe which turned out more like a cobbler. At least I provided some very drinkable pet nat. (💯 yes to wine at tea time!)

All in all a great afternoon with the added bonus of #cake for breakfast

Winner winner chicken dinner @bistro_vin_perdu in Ashburton. Yes, those are chicken fat potatoes …shared with @susyatkins I hasten to say. (The chicken was too!)

Despite me being old enough to be her mum @rosiefoodie and I have a lot in common on top of our spookily similar surnames. Two highlights from the remarkable meal @osiprestaurant - the salad with smoked eel and eel mayonnaise and the soft as butter (my description, not the wording on the menu) hot smoked trout.
Then what looks like a minor massacre on the tablecloth when I failed to demolish the beetroot taco in one bite.
Great lunch, great company in the form of fellow Bristolian @5oclockapron. Thanks @merlin_johnson for the treat. #guest
