I wrote this post back in May - here is an updated version including wines that are on promotion in July/August 2015.
Sainsbury’s is currently running its second 25% off promotion this autumn with some particularly good offers on its own Taste the Difference (TTD) range. The Chablis and Chateauneuf are also bargains.
The season of discounting has started again with supermarkets all announcing or due to announce dramatic money-off deals if you buy six bottles or more.
Sainsbury’s has one of its regular 25% off six bottles currently which runs to Monday December 8th 2014. The offer also applies to bottles that are on promotion (except in Scotland) and includes some really good deals.
The run up to the spring bank holiday is always a good time to buy wine with supermarkets intent on getting us to stock up for our summer drinking.
If there was any doubt that Christmas is round the corner the supermarkets have embarked on their annual round of price cutting, starting with this 25% off six bottles deal from Sainsbury’s which runs from October 28th to November 9th. The offer applies to wine, champagne, sherry and port and includes wines that are already on promotion (but excludes Scotland).
Sainsbury’s is running one of its regular 25% off promotions if you buy six bottles this week (until Sunday 4th) - a good opportunity to stock up on your August drinking.
Sainsbury’s has one of its regular 25% off six bottles currently which conveniently runs over the bank holiday weekend through to next Friday May 30th.
It’s getting harder and harder to keep up with these 25% off deals but here's my pick of Sainsbury’s which started a couple of days ago and carry on until December 2nd.
Rioja remains one of the most popular reds in the UK, not least because of its price, and there are two bargains right now that any rioja-lover should snap up.
