One of the highlights of this week’s scoffing with my pal @fionasims was this salt cod hash aka bacalhau à brás @bardouro in @flatironsquareuk in London. Which was basically a mash-up of salt cod and matchstick fries - comfort food of the highest order. It went brilliantly well with this slightly smoky Portuguese white - Bar Douro has a really interesting list which it also sells online. I also loved this light gamay-ish red Ginga and this dinky little mushroom pie which you won’t want to share (so don’t).
