Not sure how I fitted in a cooked breakfast this morning @thethreehorseshoesbatcombe after a dinner of roast grouse with (quite unnecessary) chips. But I did. More to follow on the BED which was absolutely sublime. As are the very lovely Christmas decorations. Least said about the weather the better obvs 🙄

You may know @essexeating for his weekly breakfasts but turns out he’s also a Comté obsessive. This is the sublime comtê tart he made to celebrate his 50th last night along with a humongous piece of Comté cheese. Think he should make himself available for birthday catering.

So women do drink beer, strong beer at that. @jennychandleruk sneakily snatched this shot of me in what she dubbed my Mrs Thatcher cardigan at @the.portcullis annual Belgian beer festival yesterday along with fabulous landlady Dee.

Love the fact one of the beers we were drinking was called Cuvée des Trolls. We also got to share the impossible-to-find Westvleteren which Paul goes over to Belgium to collect in person.

Doubt they’ll have any left today but they should have some of the other amazing brews. Head down there if you’re local
