We automatically think of matching wine and cheese or beer and cheese but there are many drinks that work just as well and can give a real ‘wow factor’ to your cheeseboard.

We Brits don’t have a long tradition of washed-rind cheeses but we have a true champion in the aptly named Stinking Bishop, which shot to worldwide fame when it was featured in the Wallace & Gromit film. But can any wine (or other drink) stand up to it?

Thanks @marinagpoloughlin for the tip-off that the wonderful @tomnd.c.a.l.e (ex Great Queen Street) is back on the food scene masterminding the menu @cafemission.e1. It’s a largely plant-based menu including this addictive Mysore style set dosa with pumpkin sabji and coconut chutney with the occasional fish and meat dish thrown in like this @chalk_stream trout and prawn cocktail . Fresh, healthy, well-priced food served in a lovely light airy room - or the terrace outside if it’s fine which let’s face it it rarely is at the mo.
