I was interested to read in the Telegraph this weekend that Ken Hom is planning to move from his French base in Cahors to spend more time in Italy and Thailand.

I can see why people sometimes snort with derision when I tell them how hard I work! Today kicked off with 20+ y.o. magnums of Côte Rôtie and Vieux Donjon Chateauneuf du Pape at the @yappaboutwine Rhône tasting followed by the @champagnegossetofficiel Matchmakers competition (which was won by the talented team @fischersbaslow who cleverly discovered that caramelised celeriac is a genius match for a Blanc de Blancs - along with scallops) You’re not remotely sympathetic? Can’t blame you really but not *every* day is like this. Unfortunately it’s only let as a whole house normally but if you want to go somewhere with a group of friends to celebrate a wedding or a big birthday I can’t think of a better place. (It has its own kitchen - see also @jennychandleruk and @5oclockapron’s feeds) Although I had a blast at the festival - my first time - I can’t wait to go back to Ludlow out of season and explore when the streets are quieter.
