Starting backwards the most sublime custard tart @restosune last night. Also don’t fail to order the charred flatbread, fried pigs head and oysters with kumquat mignonette and dip into the brilliant winelist including this Bacchus/Ortega blend from Natalia Harris in Sussex. Hard to see where the beetroot stops and the bowl begins with this delicious beetroot borani I rustled up from a bunch a neighbour kindly donated from her garden. The recipe comes from Sam and Sam Clark’s book Morito but you can find it online on the @thehappyfoodie website. Topped with crumbled feta, walnuts and dill it’s guaranteed to win round beetroot haters. @sams_moro @moritotapas

It’s not always the show-off dishes that make a great restaurant but getting the small things right so well done @asador44 for the bread - well actually the best ever sourdough toast both at dinner and at breakfast), the perfectly cooked side of broccoli and the stellar apricot ice cream and sangria sorbet. Also the comfiest bed and the loveliest staff. And no, it wasn’t a freebie. 💯worth your money if you fancy a night away.
