Although I’ve tasted some good wines this week it’s beer that has provided the highlights. The Magic Rock Rapture amber ale I drank at The Pint Shop in Cambridge with their awesome beer brined chicken was pretty good but it’s pipped into the ‘drink of the week’ slot by this pairing at The Hole in the Wall in Little Wilbraham

Thanks @marinagpoloughlin for the tip-off that the wonderful @tomnd.c.a.l.e (ex Great Queen Street) is back on the food scene masterminding the menu @cafemission.e1. It’s a largely plant-based menu including this addictive Mysore style set dosa with pumpkin sabji and coconut chutney with the occasional fish and meat dish thrown in like this @chalk_stream trout and prawn cocktail . Fresh, healthy, well-priced food served in a lovely light airy room - or the terrace outside if it’s fine which let’s face it it rarely is at the mo.
