Despite me being old enough to be her mum @rosiefoodie and I have a lot in common on top of our spookily similar surnames. We love food (obviously), we both used to have national newspaper columns and are now ardent devotees of Substack and we’re inveterate travellers. Then what looks like a minor massacre on the tablecloth when I failed to demolish the beetroot taco in one bite. Great lunch, great company in the form of fellow Bristolian @5oclockapron. Thanks @merlin_johnson for the treat. #guestMy entry point into London being Paddington I don’t often make it across to Hackney but it was worth it for last night’s meal @miga.restaurant. Delicious tofu - not words I generally use together - wonderfully light and airy, japchae noodle salad and pork belly with king oyster mushroom. A modern take on Korean food from a charming family-run restaurant.
