20 good buys from Tesco's current 25% off deal

The last weekend in November is becoming as big as the post Christmas sales with the added bonus that there’s some reason to take advantage of the offers rather than just nab bargains for the sake of it.

In wine terms that makes it a chance to get a few pounds knocked off your Christmas drinking. Tesco, Sainsbury's and Marks & Spencer all have 25% off wine and champagne if you buy six bottles currently - Tesco's offer lasts until midnight tomorrow (Sunday 29th), Sainsbury’s until December 6th and M & S has just extended its offer to December 8th.

Tesco’s offer somewhat confusingly, only applies in store and to purchases from their grocery site not to wine by the case. Note too that some wines are only available in a limited number of branches and that some of the vintages featured on the website are older than the ones I tasted at their recent press tasting. They may be trying to clear these older stocks so stick to the vintages I've recommended
