Win a case of Hambledon Classic Cuvée Rosé
After several months (feels like years!) of work we’re finally relaunching the website this week with a smart new look and what better way to celebrate than a bottle of bubbly? Not champagne, you may be surprised to hear, but one of my favourite English sparkling wines, Hambledon Classic Cuvée Rosé from Hampshire.
I visited the winery a couple of years ago and was really impressed by what they were doing so couldn’t think of a glass I’d rather share with you (or rather, our lucky winner, but you can go and buy one anyway, can’t you?*). It’s mainly chardonnay so the net effect is like strawberries and cream which is pretty irresistible I think you’ll agree. (Or Eton Mess, as the Wine Society suggests. Yum!)
All you have to do to enter the competition is register on the site (and subscribe, if you like, to our free monthly newsletter)
Given the nature of the prize, you must be 18 or over to enter and we can’t dispatch prizes to those of you who live outside the UK, I’m afraid.
The closing date for the competition is 11.59pm GMT on Sunday October 1st 2017. For other terms and conditions see below.

Win a case of six gins from The Whisky Exchange
We’re guessing that like practically everyone on the planet at the moment you’re a bit of a gin fan so we’ve got an AMAZING prize for you this month. THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED.
A case of six different gins from six different countries to try from The Whisky Exchange which, despite its name, sells practically every spirit you can think of
The super six are:
Hepple - a brilliant English gin from Northumberland which uses three different kinds of juniper (and which I recommended a while back as the perfect match for venison tartare)
Pollination - a Welsh gin made with 29 botanicals including 19 which are locally foraged, including chamomile, lemon balm, rowan berry and bramble
St George Terroir gin from California which is based on local Golden State botanicals including douglas fir, bay laurel and coastal sage
Rutte celery gin from Holland which apparently makes a great Bloody Mary
Four Pillars Rare Dry gin from Australia's Yarra Valley from the guys behind the Bloody Shiraz I recommended as my drink of the week the other month. This one is flavoured with whole oranges, pepperberry leaf, cinnamon, cardamom and star anise
and Citadelle French gin which is made with 19 botanicals and distilled in charentais pots (cognac stills)
So plenty for any gin lover to experiment with!

Win a bumper box of lamb and a butchery class from Turner and George
Our prize this month couldn't be better for our lucky winner - a whole box of lamb joints to enjoy over the Easter break.
It includes a whole lamb shoulder, a whole leg of lamb, and two whole french trimmed racks of lamb PLUS a lamb butchery class from our friends Islington butchers Turner & George with whom we’ve collaborated before. (The lamb class will take place on 19th April from 7.30-9pm so it obviously makes sense to check if you’re free before you go in for the comp!)
As you may remember Turner & George specialise in naturally reared meat from native, traditional breeds, dry-aged on the bone and cut and wrapped to order. There are times I wish I lived in Islington …
Anyway all you have to do to enter the competition is register on the site (and subscribe, if you like, to our free newsletter).
The closing date for the competition is 11.59pm GMT on Friday March 31st 2017 and you must live on the mainland UK to enter. For other terms and conditions see below.

Win a set of Netherton Foundry Prospector pans worth over £200!
This month’s prize is a brilliant one for any cook - a set of Netherton Foundry Prospector casseroles. THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED.
They’re made of spun iron by a family-owned company and are used by many top cookery writers (both Diana Henry and Nigella Lawson are big fans). In fact I’ve just bought a couple myself!
The prize includes a 20cm (8in) 26cm (10in) and 30cm (12in) lidded casserole which you can of course use with or without the lid.
Sue Currie of Netherton says “These are probably the most versatile pans we make; I have used mine for casseroles, omelettes, paella, bread, cakes, pies and breakfasts…. They can be used on any hob, from a wood burner to hi-tech induction as well as in the oven - both conventional and wood fired.

"They are spun by hand, by skilled craftsmen and pre-seasoned with an entirely finish of Sussex grown flax oil. The more you use them the better they get and because of our finishing process, you can use metal implements and re-season them time and again."
All you have to do to enter the competition is register on the site (and subscribe, if you like, to our free newsletter).
The closing date for the competition is 11.59pm GMT on Tuesday January 31st 2017 and you must live in the UK to enter. For other terms and conditions see below.
