I came to the conclusion recently that what busy cooks and hosts need is not so much menus (who has time to cook an entirely new set of recipes these days ?) as clever ideas that will impress your guests without chaining you to the kitchen for hours or needing last minute attention. Restaurateurs too, I know, find it hard to find the time to keep up with all the bright ideas that are whizzing around the food world and find it useful to have information in a quick-to-read form.
This new subscribers' section, which replaces our monthly menu, will be full of bright ideas I've spotted while dining out in the UK and abroad and tips I've picked up in the press and online. I hope you find it inspiring!
