As a new service to readers I'm going to be listing forthcoming food and wine matching events. To start with this will be limited to the UK unless I find something particularly irresistible elsewhere to pass on.

Most will just flag up that an event is taking place but I am planning to introduce a new subscription-based package which will entitle you to go into more detail about exactly what you're offering.

A good example of what I have in mind is the event being organised by Cellar Gascon in Smithfield this coming Saturday evening, May 15th: a fascinating tasting of Corsican wines with matching canapés. The five pairings include:
