On the road again!

I’m travelling again, this time on a dream trip for my husband who has a Significant Birthday - one of the ones that ends in an 0 ;-)

Instead of throwing a big birthday bash we’ve decided to be utterly selfish and travel to the place he likes best on earth, Venice. Via the place he likes second best, Paris. On Saturday night we’re taking the overnight train to Venice where we’ve rented an apartment and will play at being Venetians for a fortnight.

Don’t worry, we’ll still be eating and drinking (and how!) so Matching Food & Wine will continue to be updated only features and reports may be slightly less frequent and your queries answered slightly less quickly than usual. But they will be answered. Just give me as much notice as possible if you’ve got an event coming up.
