Your verdict on which drink is the best match with fish and chips was aired on Radio 5 Live tonight!

 I heard the presenter Peter Allen confess to a fondness for champagne so emailed the show to pass on the news that you voted best British bitter and Sauvignon Blanc the best matches. (News that was going live on the site tomorrow.)

A cup of tea came in third place followed by Sprite. I also suggested Cava as a cut-price alternative to Peter’s champagne (the BBC obviously pays generous salaries . . . )

Anyway they aired the comment which was gratifying. Large companies pay thousands of pounds for that sort of exposure!
